It’s been awhile since my last post–of course, you’ve probably noticed. Putting dates on your blog kinda gives it away, no? However, one of the important aspects of the make money online field is that if other life issues get in the way, and they usually will, you can take the time to deal with them with only a few wrinkles in your process.
Not like a brick and mortar business where, no matter what, someone has to “mind the store.” And here in the “digital ether”, you can build your business, not have to wear a tie to present a “business impression” to your customers, and generally not have to be here everyday if there are other things that need to be taken care of.
Now this is not an article about ties. However, I happen to like ties, and usually wear them just to make myself happy. Which brings me to my up-til-now-probably-obscure point. To make money online–or anywhere else, for that matter–you must feel good about yourself and your business.
Now I’m not talking about a few dollars here and there, or selling some products to some customers. What I mean is what most entrepreneurs are looking for…
You will automatically understand that there is a huge difference between a few sales, some income, and Success.
Here’s where the difference lies:
Success comes from having the proper mindset. The mindset comes from how you feel about yourself, your ability, your goals. Hence my thoughts about ties.
I was recently reminded of the effect, by having selected one of my favorites, (Mickey Mouse–subdued, of course), tying a nice windsor knot and admiring the effect in the mirror. Where I was headed is not important, nor is the fact that a tie was unnecessary. The main point here is that I noticed that just because I had on a tie, I felt better! The entire rest of the day was better because of it.
Whatever your present business is, whatever your goals, a tie may help, but it’s certainly not necessary. And if you’re one of those people who, for whatever reason, just doesn’t like wearing ties, certainly forgo it if you can–it just won’t produce the result I’m referring to here.

Have you had enough of frustration in your online business efforts yet? Go on… you can raise your hand safely here (unless someone’s reading over your shoulder–I hate that). There certainly are enough programs that create frustration. You’ve probably tried one or two.
Frustration can be an incredible incentive–if you’re one of those people who finally get fed up and really “just do it.” This is you, right?
I remember one day when I was a freshman football player in high school. Never got to play in a game, worked as hard any anyone (because I really loved the game), but being small, 5’1″ 140 lbs, I just wasn’t big enough.
My assistant coach, one day near the end of the season, told me, “you’ll never be a player–just won’t happen.”
Now I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been pretty athletic, pretty competitive, and just couldn’t give up. So, from then on practices were different.
Every guy who was playing regularly became a target. If they were within 100 yards of me during practice, I was going to “take them out.” If they were trying to block me, I wasn’t there long enough to get blocked. If someone was going to “run through the hole,” the hole was gone before they got there–I was in it (I have to say I was pretty fast, being small).
That whole week after I got my rejection news, no one could stop me, get past me, or go around me. I was literally everywhere! Dammit–I was going to show them!
So that week I became the 1st string defensive guard. Like I said, 5’1″, 140 pounds–but FAST!
Unfortunately, I was not fast enough to be the whole team, so we lost the game. Not important–I WAS PLAYING!!!!!!!!!
Frustration worked in my favor.
I don’t think there are enough stories like that. Frustration usually results in the opposite reaction. Mostly we give up after too much stress and move on the something else to get frustrated about. Sound familiar?

I was listening to a webinar recently and heard a phrase that was a “pure gold” nugget. As the conversation progressed it seemed to me that the speaker had not even realized the full impact of what he said.
Mark Hoverson, one of the top leaders in MyLeadSysytemPro was talking about leaders who, after getting a team started, have a tendency to stop working on their own businesses while helping their team build their businesses. The philosophy he was discussing was one of “leaving his team members in the dust.”
He did not mean to not help others who need help, or to ignore those who you have sponsored into your business. Rather, the leader must keep prospecting and doing the things necessary to keep building his own business–as large and as fast as possible.
I think you understand the idea, but the phrase that really caught my attention was, “you have to run into your potential.”
You have to understand and believe that whatever anyone else has achieved, you have the same or greater potential. You can make all kinds of excuses; they have more “A players” on their list, or they are better presenters, or they have “charisma,” or yada, yada, yada; excuses, all.
But, no one has any skill that you can’t develop. No one gets “all the good prospects.” In my experience, skills, talents, even circumstances are not critically important The only characteristic anyone has that you don’t have, yet, is certainty. And it is the only important one.
It’s not even a matter of having goals. Successful people usually have goals, but that is not what makes them successful. Success is created from the attitude of certainty. Every—not some, not a few, not many, but every–successful person started with or quickly acquired the certainty that they would achieve their outcome. They may even have modified their goals as they progressed, but always with the certainty that they would achieve them.
Most networkers on the other hand, start with and never progress far beyond the “I want to…” stage. Don’t get this wrong, you can achieve some pretty substantial, even impressive, results with determination, will power and hard work. But those who reach the top, the leaders we all look up to and try to emulate, all have or develop certainty of where they are going and “run into their potential.”

All SEO articles and training I’ve read and had say to place your keyword—succeed in network marketing, in this case—in the title of your article and the first paragraph twice. So in just a moment you will see it again. Right about—here: read on to succeed in network marketing. Gratuitous, perhaps, but that’s what our subject is—or at least leads to.
Now we can get on to the subject, itself. On the right side of my blog, you’ll see listed, 17 free training webinars. Are you waiting for your ship to come in? Fantastic—I have great news! It’s already here. As a matter of fact, you were born with it. It’s part of your God-given nature. I used to say that those who are waiting for their ship to come in are probably waiting at the airport instead of the dock. But it’s really simpler than that.
98% of people don’t know they actually already own their ship. They’ve just never been made aware of its presence and how to board it. Now success in network marketing businesses–yours, mine, and all the others–may or may not be the ramp onto everyone’s ship. But those same businesses might be the best, fastest and most luxurious vehicles that drive you, me, and anyone else down to the docks.
All we need then is the instruction set that let’s us know where they keys are, how to start the engines, and how to activate the on-board GPS to find our destination.
