How To Choose The Best Network Marketing Company
In the network marketing industry you’ll discover many ideas on how to choose the best network marketing company. And while many people have different priorities, not all have the right mindset. Network marketing makes the perfect foundation for a home based business. Once built, it takes some, but not a great amount of, effort to maintain; and it can provide any desirable level of residual income that you desire to build, if you choose wisely.
As easy and uncomplicated as choosing might seem, however, building your business will likely prove to be more difficult. Like anything worthwhile, it will require effort, focus, discipline, and skills to accomplish. And these are the very issues that cause most people to fail. Choosing the wrong network marketing company may make all of these tasks impossible from the start.
Important Considerations
So, let’s suppose for a moment, that these qualifications have not scared you off already—you are still reading, after all. You’ll want to make a list of several companies to investigate. From this list you will choose the right network marketing program to form the base for your business enterprise–not all are created equal, nor are all even advisable for you. The following list of considerations will be a primary basis for your “due diligence:”
- How long has the company been in business;
- Does the company have a good reputation;
- Does the company provide products and/or services that are in demand;
- Does the company do business locally, regionally, nationally, internationally;
- Does the company have a good compensation plan;
- After your investigation, how do you feel about the company and its products/services.
Now this is by no means an exhaustive list of issues you might want to know about before you choose to join a particular network marketing company; you may well find other important issues as your investigation progresses. These issues are, however, very key to the purpose for which you are investigating. They are foundational issues. If any of them are weak, not completely to your liking, or are not something you can wholeheartedly support, look elsewhere. The reason I say this is if you are not 100% sold on the company and these issues, you’ll be building your financial future on what you will one day consider a less than optimal base.
The first item in the list is critical. Keep in mind the central idea: foundation. The next four, although very important, all lead to the last in the list. And you’ll know by time you reach the last one whether the company is right for you. But the first sets the stage.
Brand New Companies
You will hear many times as you search for the right company that company “x” is a “ground floor opportunity!” Wow, right? Or you will be told that “y” company is in “pre-launch!” Again, Wow.
Do you really want to build a foundation on an unproven business? You will hear the verbiage about “how would you like to have bought into Microsoft/Coca Cola/McDonald’s/XYZ/Yada,Yada,Yada back in the beginning. Just think what that decision would be worth today!”
If you’re feeling “lucky” enough or “educated” enough to predict the company you’re looking at will be one of those, I would advise you to do two things: buy a lottery ticket, and RUN the other way!
Roll The Dice!
No matter how good the sales pitch sounds, each company still has the same odds of success (and failure), as any other new business. And in network marketing, the number one reason companies fail is under-capitalization. Now if you’re an insider you might have some idea of how much capital a company expects to need for it to succeed, coupled with its expected growth; and you might even know how much capital has been put into the venture, but even a company’s founders are frequently wrong. They may or may not have previous experience in business, experience in the network marketing industry, or in the growth patterns of networking companies—these can be radically different than those of traditional businesses.
If any of the companies you’re looking into have been around more than 5 years, they have usually gotten past the capitalization issues. Then, and only then, should you look into the other issues. If you get to the last item and are comfortable with all the others, you’ve found a suitable candidate for the foundation of your business empire.
Once you’ve narrowed the field down to just a few companies, you’ll have a much better feel for each as a fit for your purposes. At this point, it will be relatively easy to choose the best network marketing company for you.
